A Farewell and Thank You from the Youth Coding League
Since 2018, the Youth Coding League has brought students, schools, libraries, and community hubs together around the power of code. From after-school huddles to regional competitions and code-packed seasons, we’ve had the honor of seeing thousands of students step into coding for the very first time—and thrive.
Today, we’re announcing the conclusion of the Youth Coding League.

This decision was not made lightly. Like so many of you, we’ve seen firsthand the confidence, creativity, and curiosity that this program sparked in young coders. We feel the weight of closing this chapter and share in the disappointment expressed by many educators and champions of the program. The truth is: this has meant a lot to us, too.
While we won’t be moving forward with YCL, we remain incredibly proud of what we’ve built together. The program was never just about learning to code—it was about solving problems, collaborating with peers, and discovering what you're capable of. Thanks to the dedication of mentors, educators, students, families, and partners across the country, we’ve watched futures brighten and skills take root.

Thank you to everyone who made the Youth Coding League possible. Your support shaped a program that truly made a difference.
As technology continues to evolve, so does our commitment to building opportunities. While the Youth Coding League is sunsetting, codefi continues to offer innovative programs for adults—building digital skills, supporting entrepreneurs, and empowering communities across the region.
